Lately I’ve been obsessed with setting up the Z250SL and practicing with it.
What you can practice when using an SL is how to pick up engine power by accelerating as early as possible at extremely low speeds.
The bike is sharp and moves forward, and the idling speed is normal at 1500 rpm, so the engine braking is hard and the bike speed drops rapidly. If you don’t control the power yourself before it drops too much, you’ll fall over.
Vehicles with large engine displacement can run at normal idling speeds with the engine torque, so it’s easy.
The Z250SL is a vehicle that cannot be driven properly unless you constantly and delicately control the throttle.
It reminds you of the delicate control that you may forget when you increase the idle speed or get used to the easy engine characteristics.
The SL has become the best training machine for me.
I’ve also switched to Q5A tires so that I can run a lot without warmers, and I’m currently doing a lot of training.
And that practice has paid off little by little when I ride the KX112 + 93GP.
This is the KX + 93GP from a recent practice session, and it feels so much easier than the Z250SL’s tight ride and delicate control while riding.
I would like to continue racing the Z250SL and refine my delicate control.
