2021~MT09 SSB countermeasures

Regarding the use of the SSB "YS31" for MT09 model years 2021 and later.

There have been cases where the contact surface between the SSB and the frame has become dented due to the impact of a fall.

This is actually just one example, but we need to take some kind of action.

This time we decided to have a 5mm cushioning protective rubber sheet applied to the contact surface.

We have had anti-scratch sheets on the surface until now, but we will be replacing them with 5mm rubber sheets.

When it comes to the energy generated during a fall, what direction does it come from and what kind of energy does it generate?

It is difficult to cover everything, but we hope that SSB can protect vehicles at least a little.

However, since the main goal of SSB is to protect the rider, the height and size of this bumper will continue.
