This year, I went to participate in the TRY Gymkhana, which was held at Sportsland TAMADA.
It’s a really fun course that uses Tamada’s circuit course.
Overall image of the course
The first half of the course is almost a circuit, but from the middle it incorporates some gymkhana elements.
Even though it is a circuit course, in gymkhana you walk around and learn the course before deciding on your line, so can you take the line you envisioned at full throttle on a course you’ve never seen before? This becomes even more difficult on courses where you can pick up speed.
As for the KX112, how far can you go? What speed can you ride at? On courses where you can’t even imagine what you’ll be doing, it becomes even more difficult to attack.
You just have to trust your instincts and choose your gear on the spot.
So I tried to ride the first heat very carefully and enjoy it.
In the end, I got the second fastest time overall. Since there wasn’t much of a time difference, I knew which gear to choose in the second heat and just had to go all out.
In the second heat, I was able to cut my time by nearly two seconds and take the overall victory. “I was able to win because Yanagida, who was in the lead in the first heat, fell.”
And here is a video of the winning run.
For me, gymkhana is not about running little by little, but about courses like this one where circuit racers can also enjoy themselves.
I think courses that incorporate the essence of gymkhana are the most fun and enjoyable to watch.
They said that the event will be held at TAMADA again next year, so I would like to participate again next year.
What should I do about the car next year?
