It seems that many people from the JAGE training the day before joined, but I can’t keep up with my current physical condition, so I went to a nearby mountain on Saturday.
I’ve been spending my time slowly adjusting my body and mind.
We ran just under 200km, which was a bit too much for the previous day, but it was fun so I’ll call it a success.
When riding on mountain passes with this group, you don’t have to worry about what’s behind you, so you can ride at your own pace and rhythm, which is great (^^♪
But anyway, I thought the Z650 was the perfect bike for me! It was fun to ride.
I’d like to check out its gymkhana characteristics soon.
JAGE Cup “I knew it would be extremely hot, so I brought mist and other things and did everything I could to deal with it, but it was still pretty tough.”
The JAGE Cup is tied to Dunlop tires, so I have to use the notorious TT93 GP tires, and the challenge is, how much can I improve my time by 2-3% less than the CST? The tires are always slipping and I feel like I’m going to understeer, so if I put my body in at the same time as the CST, I’ll lose my balance, so I might have to adjust to the tires rather than attacking and running.
With 17-inch tires, it feels similar to driving a Roadsmart 4 or Q5A.
Be careful of the rear braking when entering; when turning, the front tires will pass on the outside, so delay the timing of putting your body in; when accelerating, your line will be on the outside, so be careful of the point and method of opening up.
We will need to be careful of this when attacking.
In the second heat, I felt like I did a pretty good job with my technique.
Above all, it was a day that made me feel glad that I was able to get through without suffering from heatstroke.
