The SB class will change from next year.

It seems that the SB class regulations are going to change.
Personally, I totally agree!

Whatever we do, whatever we change the regulations, there will be people who support it and people who oppose it.
I agree that it would be a very good idea for JAGE to go beyond that and enter the SB class.
In the past, JAGE had spoken about excluding SS machines from the SB class, but this was dropped due to strong opposition from the riders.
I think that if the change had gone through at that time, we wouldn’t be in the situation we are in now.
This time, I would like you to proceed with confidence and without compromise.

In the first place, the SB class is a special class and not an official class.
There is no such thing as an entry into the SB class.

So what is the purpose of the class? Well, it’s simply to protect skilled riders who ride heavy and large bikes.
This was a class that JAGE felt was a kind of salvation, saying, “We want to give you a special award! We want to praise you!”
The basic stance of JAGE is that all riders who participate in gymkhana are great! Therefore, we want all riders to participate.
I want to give them the same recognition and praise! That is the bottom line.

But the SB class has a small, lightweight, easy-to-handle, powerful engine that’s comparable to a 250cc, and even the tires are thinner.
Get tires that can withstand this and you’ll be able to compete in the general class too.
So what’s a rider on a really big bike supposed to do?
I got tired of the trend in the SB class and dropped down from the GSXS1000, and I didn’t want to make it lighter by going with a single disc anyway.
So I’ll ride a mid-displacement Ninja 400!
So I thought I’d try riding the super lightweight KX112!

However, when I heard JAGE’s bold decision to separate the SB class by weight from 2026 onwards, I was so excited!
Furthermore, I think it would be unfortunate for the drivers to use tires that are above Q5.
I haven’t worn them yet, but I entered the first Dunlop Cup round with the new Q5S + ZRX1200.
In the past, I have participated in the JAGE Cup with a Roadsmart 4 + ZRX1200, but regardless of the time, I hope that the tires will be fun to ride with.
I think so.

If I could do Gymkhana freely without being obsessed with results, I think my life would be richer in the future.
I wonder if it will be a good motivator for gymkhana riders?

He broke his collarbone, but what can a rider who turns 63 this year do in the future? What will make him happy?
Now I think that this is a good opportunity to think about such things.

I would also like to actively pursue the new trend of street gymkhana using electric bikes.
I will be 63 in 2025, but I still want to take on new challenges and enjoy life.
Thank you for your support.
